この手引きは、鳴門教育大学で充実した大学生活をおくるために必要なルール、日本で生活するうえで基本的に大切なこと、知っておいた方が便利なことについて説明しています。

We have around forty international students here from diverse corners of the world. We hope you enjoy your stay in this university and are able to achieve your objectives.
You may find, however, some difficulties in adjusting yourself to Japan in terms of language, the social system, customs and climate. This book will help you to make this university your own.
This book provides you with the knowledge which allows international students to lead a comfortable life on the campus. It also explains in detail about important and convenient things for you to live comfortably in this country.

私費留学生に対する奨学金のうち、鳴門教育大学を通じて応募することのできる奨学金には次のものがあります。奨学金の採用選考は学内での選考基準に基づいて行われます。
募集は指導教員を通じて行いますので、奨学金応募希望者は、まず指導教員にご相談ください。

鳴門教育大学では、留学生に対して、レベル・技能別の日本語補講を開講し、勉学や生活面で留学の成果を十二分にあげられるよう、日本語教育を行っています。
また、各自レベルに応じて、大学院で開講している日本語の授業を受講または聴講することができます。授業時間割については下のとおりです。
NUE provides Supplementary Japanese Classes arranged according to the level of student’s abilities. The classes aim at developing Japanese proficiency needed in daily and academic life in Japan.
日本語補講 Supplementary Japanese Classes （Non-credit Classes）

| JLPT（N1 対策） JLPT （N1） Preparation | ７月 にN1を受験予定 の人 が多 い場合 は、までは漢字 や語彙 、文法 などの練習問題 をしていきます。また、毎回少 しずつN1の文法 も勉強 します。具体的 に授業 で何 をするかは、一回目 の授業 に出席 した人 たちと話 し合 って決定 します。 If there are many students who wish to take the JLPT N1 in July, practice about kanji, vocabulary and grammar for the exam will be provided. Moreover, students will learn N1 grammar in each class. The details of the content will be decided after the discussion with students in the 1st lesson. |

The goal is for students to be able to explain their background and surroundings in simple language, and to be able to understand and exchange information about familiar topics encountered in work, school, and recreational situations. | 初級後半（文法） Elementary（Grammar） | 今後の長期学習の第一歩として，日本語の四技能（聞く・話す・書く・読む）をバランスよく向上させることを目指します 。主に『みんなの日本語 初級 Ⅱ』の前半を扱います。 This class is the ‘first step’ for learning the 4 technical language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students will mainly learn the first half of “Minna no Nihongo Elementary II”. |

The goal is to improve conversational skills using the grammar, vocabulary, and phrases already learned. Students will also deepen their understanding not only of the language but also of Japan. |
| 初級前半（文法）①② Pre-Elementary（Grammar）①② | 入門レベルを終えたJICA研修生を対象に，日本語を使って日常生活の簡単な会話ができるようになることを目指します。『みんなの日本語 初級Ⅰ』の動詞の活用あたりから後半を勉強します。ひらがなやカタカナの練習も引き続き行います。 This course is designed for JICA trainees who have completed the introductory level and aims to enable them to have simple conversations in everyday life using Japanese. The second half of the course begins with the verb conjugations in “Minna no Nihongo: Elementary I.” The course also includes hiragana and katakana practice. |

NUE offers a variety of unique Japanese culture experience programs for international students.
Those who wish to attend this program must fill out the application form and submit it to the Internatinal Services Office.
日本で車を運転する場合、次のことに注意してください。
- 国際免許証を日本の運転免許証へ変更すること。
＊有効期限を確認し、早めに手続きを行ってください。 - 自動車保険に入ること。
- 日本の交通ルールを守り、安全に運転すること。

- Switch an overseas driver’s license to a Japanese license.

- Obey Japanese traffic rules and drive carefully.
- If you have a traffic accident, call the police (Dial 110) and contact the international services office.

自転車を運転する場合、次のことに注意してください。
- 車道の左端を通行してください。
- 歩道の場合は、歩行者の通行を妨げないよう車道側を通行してください。
- 必ず指定の駐輪場に駐輪してください。
- 鍵をかけてください。
- 自転車を購入した販売店で自転車防犯登録を行ってください。
- 自転車に乗るときはヘルメットを着用してください。（日本では努力義務です。）
Bicycle riders should take note of the following.
- Please use the left side of the road.
- Do not endanger pedestrians if cycling on sidewalk.
- Park bicycles at the designated parking lot.
- Lock bicycles to prevent burglaries.
- Register your bicycle at the shop where you purchased it to get the bicycle theft prevention registration number.
- Always wear a helmet when riding a bicycle. (There is an obligation to make the best efforts in Japan)
