今年の春，中国，インドネシア，フィジー，ルワンダ，サモア，フィリピン，ソロモン諸島から１７人の留学生が新たに鳴門教育大学に入学しました。
４月５日，まず３人の教員研修留学生に対して入学式が行われ，田中学長よりこれから一年間しっかりと研修を重ね，その成果を母国での今後の教育実践活動に活かしてくださいと激励のお言葉をいただきました。その後，指導教員，チューターと一緒に学業，生活についてオリエンテーションを受けました。その後，鳴門市警察による緊急対応・交通安全・薬物乱用防止のオリエンテーションや鳴門国際交流協会による同協会の紹介，午後からは図書館利用と情報基盤センターの使用方法についての説明会が行われました。

NUE welcomed 17 new international students from China, Indonesia, Fiji, Rwanda, Samoa, Philippines, and Solomon Islands.
On April 5, the Entrance Ceremony was held for 3 Teacher Training Students and the President TANAKA made a speech at the ceremony. “I hope that you will study hard for a year at our university and utilize the findings of your research for educational activity in your country”, he encouraged them for the future.
After that, they attended orientation for new international students with their academic supervisors and tutors and learned about academic studies and university life. After that, they have another orientations held by Naruto Police Station and Naruto International Exchange Association. In the afternoon they participated in Library Tour and Orientation at the Center for Information Technology Services later on.
