◆December 10, 2015

 We delivered a tutorial of prevention education for students at KITO Junior High School, Naka-town in Tokushima Prefecture.

 





Today’s class members were consisted of seventh to ninth grade students. The class was practiced at a lecture hall. White board was utilized instead of blackboard. Dr. Murakami’s teaching materials.
 




  Children could corporate in the activities regardless of their grades.   There is a lot of correct answer in the reasoning game of emotions.   Understanding other’s emotion and differences of way of thinking is important.

Practicing for joint class (seventh grade to ninth grade students) at junior high school was first time for us. The practiced program was “Development of Prosociality (#1)”. How people you know each other at school think in a specific situation (teachers are also participated as a teachers team this time)?! Students learned the difficulties and importance of expecting other’s feeling with putting their selves in other’s shoes through serious discussion. We hope students at KITO junior high school sympathize each other and spend school life with warm feeling.

 We delivered a tutorial of prevention education for students at TSUTSUMIGAOKA Elementary School, Takasaki-city in Gunma Prefecture.

 “Prevention education for bullying issues (#1)” is the class we practiced this time for 3rd grade students. We thought about bullying deeply and studied characteristics of bullied children, bullies and bystanders. Understanding what bullying is correctly by all class members is the first step to prevent bullying issues. Moreover, environment which bystanders can behave properly is important. We hope children can spend their life happily with keeping a little in their mind where they have thought in the class.

 We delivered a tutorial of prevention education for students at KOKUFU Elementary School, Tokushima-city in Tokushima Prefecture.

 





The title is “What are happy or fun events you have had?” Got ready to start Class is started from short anime story.
 




  Challenge from an anime character is the trigger to begin activities.   One scene of the class   We can be forward-looking when we remember positive events in the past.

“Development of Self-Confidence for 3rd grade (#1)” was the class we practiced this time. In the activity, children remembered events which they felt happy or relieved in their daily lives. They also shared the events with classmates through games. Everyone, include children, Mogumo (one of the anime characters) and teachers, became “Super Ultra Happy” because of children’s happy power. We hope you (children) can utilize skills which is “thinking back positive events in the past” and see own and others bright side to spend time with confidence in their lives.

 We delivered a tutorial of prevention education for students at IDE Elementary School, Ide-town in Kyoto Prefecture.

 





Getting ready for the tutorial and waiting for children Class is started from short anime story. Today’s story is about Vikings! Children are drawn into the class due to games as a trigger.
 




  How happy moment to share children’s positive characteristics with classmates!   Director Yamasaki gave a lecture for teachers after the tutorial for students.   The book about prevention education was introduced in the lecture.

“Development of Self-Confidence for 5th grade (#1)” was the class we practiced this time. The title of the class was “Let’s find friends’ positive characteristics!”. In the first half of the class, children found groupmates’ positive characteristics and told them to the groupmates each other. In the second half, we shared children’s best characteristics with all classmates through games. They were concentrated on listening to others’ presentation to know friends’ characteristics. We sincerely hope that they can find others’ good characteristics and accept each other from now on. Moreover, we believe children can be proud of own characteristics and be lively more and more.

 We delivered a tutorial of prevention education for students at YASAKA Elementary School, Kyotango-city in Kyoto Prefecture.

 





In today’s lesson, we are going to tell friends’ positive characteristics each other. There are a lot of fan which arouse children’s emotion and feeling through moving their body in games. Sharing “friends’ positive characteristics”, written on sticky papers, with classmates
 




   
  Respecting both own and others’ positive characteristics is important.   Director Yamasaki gave a lecture for teachers after the tutorial for students.   Teachers gave a lot of precious ideas in question and answer time. It was a productive time.

 “Development of Self-Confidence for 5th grade (#1)” is the class we practiced this time. The tittle of first lesson is “Let’s find friends’ positive characteristics!”. In the class, everyone had found others’ positive characteristics with gravity and wrote them on sticky papers, which was presented for groupmates later. In the second half of the class, we played the game to guess what is the classmate’s positive characteristic. It was very fun because students know a lot of others’ positive events. We enjoyed hearing them. They are already specialists to find others’ positive characteristics. We sincerely hope that students can remember and respect the characteristics which told from other classmates and have fully confidence in their lives with their fully smile.

 We delivered a tutorial of prevention education for students at ISHIKAWA Elementary School, Yosano-town in Kyoto Prefecture.





Today’s topic is “What is bullying?” Understanding definition of bullying and thinking about each position (bullies, bullied children and bystanders) in a bullying scene. Group work is one of the main activities. Children positively discussed their ideas.

  Utilizing big sheet on the black board to share each group’s ideas with classmates.   At end of the class, we watched the anime story. Looking forward to watch next story.

“Prevention education for bullying issues for 3rd and 4th grade (#1)” is the class we practiced this time. First half of the class, we studied about the definition of bullying. Then, we thought about bullied children, bullies and bystanders more deeply in the second half of this class. Of course there are a lot of attractive factors for children due to arousing their emotion and feeling is one of the important aspects in the theoretical back ground of the program. Children participated the class lively and seriously. There are two important points to prevent bullying. One is students understand what is bullying. Another is bystanders take action to stop bullying. We hope that children do not forget today’s class and keep the friendly and wonderful class.

 We delivered a tutorial of prevention education for students at SAKAIDE Lower Secondary School Attached to the Faculty of Education, Kagawa University, Sakaide-city, Kagawa prefecture.





Desks and tool box are set! We are ready to start the class!! Tutorial is starting soon. The topic is imagining others’ thinking and feeling.
 




   
  Thinking time1: writing their own thinking and feeling and sum up the total in each group.   Thinking time2: reasoning which is the most popular idea in the class through playing games.   Imagining others’ feeling is difficult, but trying to put yourself in others’ shoes is important for prosocial action.

“Development of Prosocial for 7th grade (#1)” is the class we practiced this time. Through the FeelingThinking Reasoning Game, students expect how other classmates feel in several scenes. They exchange their ideas actively and the class livened up gradually. Students seem enjoyed to learn the difficulty and importance of understanding others’ feeling through putting themselves in others’ shoes. We sincerely hope that students in SAKAIDE Lower Secondary School have a lot of kindness in their lives.

 We delivered a tutorial of prevention education for students at MIKAWA Elementary School, Fukuchiyama-city in Kyoto Prefecture.





Today’s lesson is “Development of Self-Confidence (#1)”. The need of this program illustrates how important cultivating children’s confidence is. A lot of children wrote “Playing with my friends” as one of the fun and happy events. This class is so close. Saying “Hey!” and standing up with the in exact timing with the slide on the screen.

 We delivered a tutorial of prevention education for students at SHIMOYAMA Elementary School, Kyotanba-town in Kyoto Prefecture.

We delivered a tutorial of prevention education for students at TOKUSHIMABUNRI Junior High School, Tokushima-city in Tokushima Prefecture.





Ready to start the tutorial Dr. Murakami set the teaching materials before the tutorial is started. In the lesson, the winning group can get the pennant. It is one of the devices to increase students’ involvement.

“Development of Prosociality (#1)” is the lesson we practiced this time. Children think about other’s feeling through reasoning game. They visualized several scenes which people may have different types of feeling and thought, such as “If you see the person you love coincidently when you are with your family, how do you feel?” Children seem enjoyed the lesson even though they realize how it is difficult to imagine other’s feeling. We sincerely hope that all children can be more thoughtful each other in their daily lives.

We delivered a tutorial of prevention education for students and a lecture at KUWAKAI Elementary School, Yosano-cho in Kyoto Prefecture.

 We delivered a tutorial of prevention education for students and a lecture at KITAAMA Elementary School, Minamiawaji-city in Hyogo Prefecture.

 





Dr. Murakami explained the rules in the tutorial of prevention education. One of the main characters, Mogumo, sent a challenge for children in the Anime Story. Being ready to get a chance to present their fun or good events.
 




   
  They are into the game of Pop-up Pirate to get their turn to give a presentation.   Increasing children’s positive emotion through sharing fun and good events, they experienced.   Mogumo, one of the main characters in the program also SUPER ULTRA HAPPY!!

 We delivered a tutorial of prevention education for students and a lecture at YOKOGAWA Elementary School, Handa-city in Aichi Prefecture.
 Many teachers such as teachers at YOKOGAWA Elementary School, supervisors from Child Support Center at Nagoya City of Board of Education and teachers from Tokyo prefecture and Nagoya city.

 “Development of Understanding and Regulating Emotions (#1)” is the class we practiced this time. Children thought about characteristics of facial and physical expression when we have anger feeling. Through that activity, they learned that we can notice own feeling from the characteristics. The activity must be difficult even if they are adults, but children’s participation for it was very positive. We sincerely hope that all students cope with their own emotions well and spend time actively every day.
